The month of December is always my favorite. Despite the terrible cold (which really hasn't been that bad this year), December also brings my birthday and Christmas...two of my favorite holidays.
Being that this was my 21st birthday (the last birthday that's kind of a big deal until I turn 30), I decided to celebrate in a different way than usual. My best friend Natalie and I got up early and started off the day jumping out of a plane 10,000 ft off the ground. It was probably the most amazing thing I have ever done in my life! If anyone is considering skydiving, I recommend it to you all. Then we got all dressed up and met up with the other 1/3 of our trio, Jen, and went to a fancy restaurant and to the Nutcracker. I love the ballet. I think its the true definition of beauty. After that we went to the best restaurant ever and had desert. It was truly a night to remember.
Christmas is the best time of year in my book. It's the one time out of the year that my brother comes home and all the family is together. My family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are all very close and see each other on a weekly if not daily basis, but we hardly ever have the time to all be together at the same time. I have attendancy to go a little overboard when it comes to present giving so I racked up a little debt this holiday season. It was all worth it to see the looks on people's faces though.
New Years came faster than I was expecting. I (last second of course) decided to drive to Kansas City, MO for the OneThing Conference at IHOP. It was truly amazing. We rang in the New Year giving praise to God and honestly, I can't think of a better way to start the year. I also got to spend some much needed time with some really great friends.
I have been so blessed this past year and I am so excited to see what is to come in 2007. I hope you all had a great holiday season to remember.
